Gut Health

Let me guide you onto the path of good health through my natural therapies and counselling services.

Gut health therapy can help the following:

  • Reflux / GERD

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

  • Nausea

  • Indigestion

  • Constipation

  • Fatigue

  • Bloating

  • Diarrhoea

  • Stomach pain

  • Leaky gut

  • Food sensitivities/reactions

  • Diarrhoea

  • Microbiome Balancing (dysbiosis, parasites)

  • Helicobacter pylori infections/post-treatment recovery

  • Skin health -acne, eczema, dermatitis

All gut issues, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, should consider the following four areas:

Stress – There is a significant link between gut health and your stress levels. Stress is not only external (deadlines, work, relationships, money) but also the state of your health ie physical stress. Understanding triggers, coping skills, and mindset as well as replenishing key stress-supporting minerals and vitamins is key for everyone with gut issues.

Food – What foods you eat are a critical factor in gut health. What is good for one person may not be good for another so customised treatment, based on testing, is important.

Gut Function – This is a wide area but includes key factors such as how well you break down your food, the gut microbiome, the integrity of the gut lining, and detoxification.

Structure – Changes to the structure of your gut due to surgeries, injuries or scar tissue need to be considered. The proper function of valves in the gut is also considered here.

One of the key benefits of naturopathy is that all four of these areas are considered during treatment, as they relate to you. This holistic approach ensures that gut healing is usually faster and longer lasting than traditional medical approaches.

Consultation | Fees

Consultations can take place in my clinic at 7/478 The Esplanade in Warners Bay, NSW, Australia, or from the comfort of your own home or office via video or telephone.

Initial Consultation

The first consultation runs for approximately one hour in which we discuss:

  • Your health goals

  • Your personal and family medical history

  • Diet overview

  • Key health metrics – sleep quality, energy levels, stress levels, enjoyment levels, etc.

  • The function of relevant bodily systems.

Together, we then create a treatment plan to start you on your journey to achieving your health goals and optimal vitality.

Follow-Up Consultation

Following on from the initial consultation we will meet at regular intervals, assessing test results, discussing challenges and celebrating successes. We will constantly review our plans and make any necessary changes required to ensure your health and wellbeing are maximised.

The amount of time we work together is entirely up to you. I recommend a minimum of three sessions over 6-8 weeks. Chronic or more severe gut issues may take longer.

Follow-Up Consultations:

  • $210 - 60 minutes to review test results, getting back on track, counselling sessions

  • $110 – 30 minutes to check in on how you are feeling and progressing during treatment.

Cancellations

We understand that life can get busy, things change – we simply ask that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to change or cancel your appointment. You can call us on 02 4023 5145 or email at sara@thegutclinic.com.au to let us know. We aim to be as accommodating and understanding as possible in these situations – we have been there ourselves.

Outside of extenuating circumstances, failure to notify us 24 hours in advance or not showing up, will mean that you will be liable for the full consultation fee. As we have a waiting list, failing to provide us with adequate notice means that someone else can’t get the help they need.
